What Our Dura-Tech Enterprises’ Acquisition Means for Your Business

We announced our decision to acquire Dura-Tech Enterprises on February 1st this year. However, the acquisition process didn’t start this year; it came after several months of in-depth evaluation and consultation with the Manteno-based IT solutions provider. This article explains why we invested in Dura-Tech and how your Chicagoland organization will benefit from the acquisition. But first, let’s look at a brief history of the tech firm.

History of Dura-Tech Enterprises

Dura-Tech has been around for almost three decades. Todd Creek founded the IT support company over 25 years ago to offer security-focused and client-centered managed IT services. And the tech company has delivered just that, earning it a solid reputation throughout the South Chicagoland area.

The IT support company premises all its decisions, strategies, and operations on four cardinal principles:

  • Honesty and integrity: Outsourcing IT support means trusting a third party with your organization’s critical files and credentials. The least you can expect from them is integrity. Dura-Tech believes in honesty, respect, offering clients only the solutions they require, and fair service bills. That explains why they’ve maintained an excellent reputation throughout their several years of operation.
  • Innovation: As technology changes, you need to adjust accordingly to avoid lagging. And so should your IT support company. That’s why Dura-Tech heavily invests in studying, assessing, testing, and deploying useful technologies as they come. The firm also continually retrains its customers to help them understand emerging threats and ways to prevent them.
  • Compassion: When you hear IT support, the first thing that comes to mind is technology and other mechanical concepts. However, Dura-Tech has a tradition of breaking this norm by extending their help even beyond tech-related issues. They consider their clients as partners who are a family and not just customers who pay for services. This compassionate approach to IT support explains why Dura-Tech has an impressive client-retention ratio.
  • Teamwork: IT support exists to sustain the business. And that’s why the service provider works closely with clients to understand their business models and develop and deploy customized solutions. They understand that their expertise alone is not enough, especially if they don’t understand how your organization operates and its unique IT support needs.

Why Dura-Tech?

We invested in Dura-Tech and not any other tech company because of the service provider’s positive work culture. They believe in offering client-centered IT support, and so do we. In Stephen Taylor, our CEO’s words, “Our partnership reflects the shared values of each of our companies, including fast plus friendly support, with a focus on cybersecurity.”

What’s more—Dura-Tech has a long history of working with municipalities, school and fire districts, financial institutions, and businesses across several industries. So, they are bringing on board a deep bench of experts and years of experience. The service provider is also famous for its heavy investment in cybersecurity, which is a positive add-on to what we already have. Together, we plan to build and deliver high-quality, cost-effective cybersecurity solutions throughout Chicagoland.

How Will You Benefit From The Acquisition?

Our clients are our priority. Whatever decision we make or the solution we create, you’re always our primary consideration. It wasn’t any different when mulling over acquiring Dura-Tech. We first evaluated how the deal would benefit you before making the final decision. Here are some of the acquisition’s benefits:

  • Our offices are closer to you: If you’ve been with us for some time, you know we acquired CLASS Computing in March last year. With the recent acquisition of Dura-Tech Enterprises, we now have three physical locations. That makes all customers 45 minutes away from our offices, which is a good thing if you need urgent on-site assistance.
  • Enjoy access to additional experienced staff: If we’ve been offering excellent services with our 35 employees, imagine what more we can offer with additional staff. You can expect faster ticket responses and resolutions and more dedicated customer support. Dura-Tech’s team also comes with the expertise they’ve learned since 1996 when Todd Creek founded the company. We plan to leverage this knowledge fully and improve our services.
  • Fresh perspective and ideas: IT is a broad concept. Nobody can master it all. While we are good at what we do, we still strive to be better every day. And what better way can we achieve this than by working with like-minded professionals. We are open to learning new ideas from the incoming team and improving our services.

In summary, the acquisition is a plus for us as a company and for all our collective customers. Of course, there may be a few glitches, but we’re ready to handle them, thanks to our hindsight of acquiring CLASS Computing.
